Aluminium is a third of the weight of steel, reducing the inertia of the sliding gate allowing for accurate torsional safety settings. The reduced electric motor energy requirement and wear of the running system combined with the natural corrosion resistant properties of aluminium all contribute to energy efficiencies and a longer life expectancy.
